We have an exciting 12th match of the ICC CWC 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Delhi. The live match is going to be telecast at 2 PM IST.
Pitch Report
The pitch of this ground is a flat-track and there will be runs. The batsmen can play good strokes here despite a little low bounce on this pitch. The pacers have to vary their lengths as they would not get too much seam movement off the air. The spinners will get some turn here and if they bowl well, they can pick wickets in the middle overs. The expected score is around 320-330 here and the teams are likely to bowl first as the dew in the 2nd innings might come into play.

IND vs PAK ICC Men’s CWC 2023 Match Preview
Team India
The hosts would be happy with their current form. They know the conditions well compared to any other team. Afghanistan is a good side to play for them and they have to play well against the quality spinners of Afghanistan. Talking about their current form, they played high-class cricket in the last few months. Initially, they walked in the Asia Cup 2023 with a struggling bowling unit but they pulled out stunning victories both against Sri Lanka and the arch-rivals Pakistan. Unfortunately, both the ICC CWC 2023 warm-up games washed out due to rain and not a single was bowled in these matches.
The skipper Rohit Sharma looked in brilliant touch with the bat in the Asia Cup 2023 notching up 2 half-centuries. He batted well against Australia in the recent IND vs AUS 3-match ODI series scoring 81 in the only match he played. KL Rahul smashed a hundred against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2023 and then two consecutive half-centuries against Australia recently. Jasprit Bumrah is fully fit and Kuldeep Yadav is quite confident on the back of his fine bowling in the Asia Cup 2023.
In the ICC CWC 2019, India cruised to an 11-run win in a thriller match against Afghanistan. Batting first, Virat Kohli scored a fine 67 runs and Kedar Jadhav’s 52 took India’s total to 224 for 8. It was a rare batting failure but Afghanistan bowled beautifully. In response to this, Indian bowlers started well, especially Jasprit Bumrah who took 2 wickets in an over to break the partnership between Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi.
Mohammad Nabi was taking his side over the line but Mohammed Shami dismissed him and then took a hat trick to seal the victory for India. Jasprit Bumrah, Yuzvendra Chahal and Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets each. Overall, India needs to be cautious against the Afghans’ bowlers.
Team Pakistan
Pakistan is off to a winning start after beating the Netherlands. We might say that the Pak bowlers saved the match. The Dutch elected to bowl first and Pakistan started poorly in the powerplay. The openers Imam ul-Haq went cheaply and Fakhar Zaman’s poor form continues. The skipper Babar Azam also threw his wicket and Pakistan were in a state of bother at 38 for 3. Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel built a much-needed partnership and they came out of trouble.
Rizwan and Shakeel made 68 runs each and then perished. Again, after a couple of blows from Bas de Leede, Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan built a good partnership and took the team total to 286 runs. In response to this, the Netherlands started brilliantly after losing Max O’Dowd. A superb partnership between Vikramjit Singh and Bas de Leede was going so well that Pak bowlers had no clue how to take their wickets. But Haris Rauf did the job with his double strike in one over and he went on to take 3 wickets while Hasan Ali took 2 wickets. The middle overs dilemma continues for Pakistan and they have to be careful when they face Sri Lankan spinners.

IND vs PAK ICC Men’s CWC 2023 Betting Tips
India should win this match because they will enjoy the home conditions well and are a stronger side than Pakistan. The top order is in tremendous form and Shubman Gill, who was ill, is likely to come and play this match which would be another bonus for India. The middle order looks settled and the bowlers are on fire. Even the spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja are in sublime form and this duo dismantled the Australian batting in the opening match of India.
On the other hand, Pakistan are struggling at the top, especially the form of Imam-ul-Haq. Babar Azam also had a poor record against India and he did not score runs in the first two games in this World Cup so far. Their spinners are also struggling to put pressure on the opposition and Shaheen Afridi is not at his best so far.
