ICC CWC 2023 PAK vs SL Match Preview
Pakistan is off to a winning start after beating the Netherlands. We might say that the Pak bowlers saved the match. The Dutch elected to bowl first and Pakistan started poorly in the powerplay. The openers Imam ul-Haq went cheaply and Fakhar Zaman’s poor form continues. The skipper Babar Azam also threw his wicket and Pakistan were in a state of bother at 38 for 3. Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel built a much-needed partnership and they came out of trouble.
Rizwan and Shakeel made 68 runs each and then perished. Again, after a couple of blows from Bas de Leede, Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan built a good partnership and took the team total to 286 runs. In response to this, the Netherlands started brilliantly after losing Max O’Dowd. A superb partnership between Vikramjit Singh and Bas de Leede was going so well that Pak bowlers had no clue how to take their wickets. But Haris Rauf did the job with his double strike in one over and he went on to take 3 wickets while Hasan Ali took 2 wickets. The middle overs dilemma continues for Pakistan and they have to be careful when they face Sri Lankan spinners.
Team Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka started with a loss against South Africa. It was a brave fight but in the end, 428 was too much to ask and they kept losing wickets along the way. They won the toss and elected to bowl first but it did not go their way. South African batters smashed every bowler all along the ground and it was raining sixes fest. Africa posted 428 on the board and three batters Quinton de Cock, Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram scored brilliant hundreds. For Sri Lanka, Dilshan Madushanka took 2 wickets but was expensive.
In response to this, the openers fell early. Pathum Nissanka went on the duck while Kusal Perera just made 7 runs. Then, it was KusaL Mendis’s show which lit up the atmosphere with his sensational knock of 76 off just 42 balls. He tried his best but couldn’t go long. Charith Asalanka and Dasun Shanaka also contributed well made half-centuries but chasing 428, that was not enough for Sri Lanka. The skipper Shanaka decided to take responsibility but once he perished, no recognised batsmen were left and in the end, they lost the match by 102 runs.

ICC CWC 2023 PAK vs SL Betting Tips
Pakistan would want to take revenge for their Asia Cup 2023 defeat while Sri Lanka would want to put pressure on the back of their previous win over Pakistan. Both teams are good on paper but we believe Sri Lanka should emerge victorious because they know their opposition very well and Sri Lanka has better spinners and this track assists spinners well.
Based on the stats above, this could be the winning fantasy team.
Both teams have played each other in the Asia Cup 2023 and hence they know their strengths and weaknesses. Sri Lanka would be happy with their batting performance against South Africa but want to improve their bowling. Pakistan, especially the openers, have to step up and play good innings to release the pressure on the middle order. Can Sri Lanka get the better of Pakistan again or will Pakistan make 2 wins in 2 matches? We will see the result later because the tournament has just begun and it is already getting exciting.
